I Believe That Everything Good Comes From God by Katie Beckler

I believe that everything good comes from God. I'm not talking about Allah or another kind of god. I'm talking about Yahweh, if you didn't know that's the Jewish name for God.

Please don't misunderstand me, I'm not saying that once you become a Christian you never have another problem in your life. Quite on the contrary! But everything good does come from God. Please, allow me to prove my point.

I, myself, absolutely love music. I know the piano, am in school choir, and always have a song in my head. I also have friends that love music as well, one friend taught herself the piano, guitar, and violin; so far, I'm sure in just a little while that will be outdated. Anyways, why do you think that everyone loves music? The scriptures say that he fills our mouths with his praise. So whether you love rock, Christian, jazz, or country, you can still praise God.

Perhaps you want more. Think also of a baby, they are so wonderful. There is nothing to equal the first time you get to hold a new little one. And yet there are still people who think that it's all right to kill such a precious gift. Did you know that God knows the babies? Yes, the scriptures say, "I knew you before you were even born, before you were even in your mothers womb." Wow, before you were even conceived God knew you, before you had ever done wrong, and he loves you. Okay, I'm even getting a little happy, I just love to sit and think about Jesus and the scriptures. I realize that you may not have a good relationship with God, or maybe none at all, I know what it feels like to be having problems, trust me. But maybe you can come to know God through me. If you ever need to ask any questions, I'm here, I'll get you an answer, even if I have to ask someone else. I have tons of questions too.

If you still don't believe me, think of a pasture in May. Have you ever just gone for a walk in an open pasture? It's so amazing! God clothes the pasture so beautifully. The scriptures say, "Why do you toil? Look at the lilies of the field, see how they are arrayed, I tell you that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed as beautifully as these. If your heavenly father cares so much for these that are here today and cast into the fire tomorrow, how much more does the Lord care for you!" What a great promise.

I serve an awesome God! I did not write this essay to make you uncomfortable just to open your eyes to all that God does. He will wait for you always, that's my favorite promise. He waits through my stubbornness. How great!
