I Believe in Equality by Josh McKey

This country has opened it's doors to many different nationalities, and as a result, I find myself surrounded by people who have different cultures and people who live in a way that seems strange to me. Some of these people even speak a language that I do not understand, and it sometimes puts up a barrier between me and them. As a result, it is often difficult for me to understand them, but one thing is for sure: most of them are doing there level best to live here in America.

Since there are many different beliefs in the world, and there are many different races, some people have adopted the idea of a dominate race. However, the idea of a dominate race is misleading, and can even be called racist. The idea has been spread so much, that at one time, slavery was a topic that was fought over.

If you stand a black man next to a white man, the only difference you will see is the color of his skin. The black man and the white man both have five fingers and two arms, two legs, two feet, etc. They are equaly made: both men breath the same air, and live almost the same way. In fact, every one, not just whites and blacks are created equal. We may not all speak the same language, live the same way, and share the same beliefs, but if you look at it in a view that doesn't lift any certain race or beliefe up, you will see that, when it all comes down to it, we where all created equally, just the way God meant it to be.

I hear people complain about how unfair life is, and the unfair treatment that some people claim that they are recieving. Indeed, there are people who do not see the equality in us all, because they to have listened to the dominate race theory and believe it. If we could just believe that we are all equal, it would end alot of the conflicts we have with the issue of racism. If we could come to the understanding that we are all in this together, we would be able to work toward finally achieving the equality. I believe in equality, because it's something worth believing in, and it's a belief I hold dear, because maybe someday, a little down the road, we will be equal.
