I Believe in Being Bilingual by Karina Leyva Sigala

Hola! Gracias, De nada, Buenos dias, Como estas? Buenas tardes, Como te llamas? De donde eres? Necesito ayuda, Donde? Si, Me llamo. These are some of the basic words in Spanish that people should know. I believe people should be bilingual. I believe that everyone should know at least two languages. I believe people should be bilingual for three reasons, first because you can get better jobs, the second reason is because you can learn about other cultures and the third reason is because you can get a better salary. In today's global society, it is important to be bilingual.

I believe people should learn another language because it will open many doors for them. Being bilingual is going to give you many job opportunities. People who speak two languages have advantages over others who only speak one language. You might start very low in your first job, but bilingual skills open doors, so you can go from low to high at your work place. If you want a good job it would be a good idea to think about the things that can help you to get a good job. I believe that by being bilingual you can have a better social life. You are going to be able to communicate with other people from other cultures. You are going to learn many things from them because of their culture and become more informed.

I believe people should learn another language, as it is educational. When you learn another language you learn so much from other cultures. By learning about their cultures it helps you to understand and appreciate people from other countries. You can go to other countries to visit and learn more about their culture and have some fun too! You are going to be able to communicate with the people that live in those other cultures. You can help your children to become bilingual too. To actually visit someone using their languages gives you insight into their culture. If you learn Spanish, you can easily learn other languages like French, Portuguese, Italian and Romanian because they are similar.

I believe that if you know more than one language you are going to get a better salary. Most companies are looking for people who are bilingual. They can be more efficient than those who know only one language. They are going to be able to communicate with people who speak different languages, as they sell or take orders worldwide! That s good for the company and for you. There are not as many people who are bilingual, so the companies are willing to pay more to the bilingual people, as it benefits the company.

In conclusion, I believe being bilingual is important for three reasons, the first one is because you can get a better job, the second one is because you can learn more from other cultures and different people and the third reason is because you can get a higher salary. I encourage you to consider learning another language. I think about all the good things that being a bilingual has given me and I know you will find success too if you are bilingual. So, Adios y Buena Suerte! (Goodbye and Good luck).
