I Believe in Athletics by Beth Bohuslavsky
When you think of athletics, many of us think about sports. Well, athletics isn't just about sports, it can be about exercising, building friendships, and can help with motivation. Athletics is a big part of Seward High School. Today, I am going to share about exercising with athletics, building friendships during athletics, and being motivated by athletics. This, I believe in athletics.
First, I believe in athletics because I think it helps get your daily exercise. I play softball, basketball, and track and these athletics involve running, jumping, throwing, swinging, and bending. All of those physical features get us into shape and give us our daily exercise which is important to athletics. We should get about one hour and fifteen minutes of exercise daily of doing vigorous-intensity aerobics exercise. Athletics will also help your cardiovascular system and your heart. You also need exercise during athletics, so you are able to run around the track, up and down the court, and around the bases, and much more. During athletics, exercise is a key factor to be successful.
Next, I believe in athletics because it builds friendships. Playing softball, basketball, and track helped me build many friendships. During athletics, it is a chance to bond with your teammates and become closer friends. If everyone on the team gets along, you will have good team chemistry, which is important to have in athletics to be successful. You will always remember your teammates as friends, well at least I do. You will be pushed to work with your teammates, which helps build a friendship. Building a friendship during athletics is important because you will be more social around people and not just the person that doesn't talk or is anti-social.
Finally, I believe in athletics because it keeps me motivated. Athletics motivate me to have fun in school and with my friends. It also helps motivate me to do well in school, so I am able to do athletics. Athletics also motivate me to accomplish dreams in sports and in school. If I am not motivated to do something, I will do bad, and won t be as successful, and I want to have a successful life. Being motivated is just like being mentally tough. If you aren't mentally tough, then you will more likely mess up and get frustrated, well usually I do if I am not motivated or mentally tough. It is important that you are mentally tough and motivated because you will accomplish a lot more things in life. Athletics keeps me motivated to be positive which is important to me.
In conclusion, athletics is important to me because I get the exercise I need, build friendships, and keeps me motivated to do things. Being involved in athletics is very good, because I wouldn't want to be a person that is just a couch potato, and does nothing. If you have goals and want to accomplish them, maybe athletics will help you accomplish them. Athletics shows sportsmanship, which shows character about you and what type of a person you are. I believe in athletics.
