I Believe in Friendship by Alyssa Hans

Nobody is perfect and I can be one to tell you from a lifelong experience. On days when you want to be alone and there are always those few people that are there. Those days when a tragedy happens and you need a shoulder to cry on, they are there. Those days where your energy is overpowering, they are there. I believe in friendship.

Friends to me are the most important aspect of life. Day by day everything and everyone changes but the one thing that is always there is a best friend. A best friend, is a person that you can tell all of your deepest secrets and trust them to never be revealed. Many have a best friend. You may hang out with a group of friends, but there is always that one person you turn to when you need to talk. I believe that it is important to have friends that you can be yourself around, not people you have to be reserved when you are around them.

Trust is one of the biggest factors that all good friends should have. A true friend is someone who would tell you that they heard someone else talking about you. Someone who would be there to back you up with everyone else was going against you. A true friend is someone who doesn't leave when times get rough; they stick with you till the end. I look at trust like a brick wall, when you break that trust, the wall falls and it takes even longer to get back that friendship that you once had.

Laughter never falls short when my friends and I are together. Good times are one of the best parts of a friendship. When I m feeling down they always know how to cheer me up and get my mind off of the negatives. When I am mad at someone, I always have someone to vent to that listens and always knows what to say back to make me laugh. A best friend is a person who doesn't always give the best advice, but gives it anyway.

I would have to say that I have some of the best friends a person could ask for. They are there for me through thick and thin. Hopefully everyone has that one or two people that they can always go to and count on to be there. If it wasn't for my friends, I really don't know where I would be today. So next time you see your best friend or they help you out, say thank you and let them know how important they are to you. I believe in friendship.
