I Believe in Education by Japheth Hartmann

What do you need to get into college, get a job, and succeed in life? What will help you make more money? Without any of if, I am pretty sure you would just be a bum on the street. If you think I'm talking about money, you're wrong, because I'm talking about education. I believe in education because it will pretty much help you in every aspect of your life.

I have been getting more and more education almost every year of my life and I know by now I can't succeed without it. I have been in school for 11 years now and I have gained much more intelligence. I only have around two more years of high school, and then I will have around at least four more years of college. I will be happy to be done with school, but I know I will miss it. I was also being educated when I was a baby. That's when I learned how to talk and do many other things.

Education that I receive now is much different then the education I received ten years ago. In my first few years of school I learned how to read, write, and some simple math, just some of the basics. Each grade you will slowly add on to the things that you already know. You will keep doing this for all your education. When you get into to college, you usually major in one or two subjects. You usually major in the subjects that are needed for the profession you want to go into. I want to be a chiropractor so I'm going to try to major in chemistry because you need chemistry to be a chiropractor.

Finally let's see why education is so important. First, people who attend college and get a bachelors degree make around 2.1 million dollars compared to people who don't go to college who make around 1.2 million dollars. Also, many jobs require a college education. That's why college graduates make more money, because they get better jobs. Even though college is pretty expensive, if you go you will be able to pay off the college loans pretty quickly after you get a good job. Also if you do well in school and get good grades you can get some scholarships which will help you pay for college. If you do drop out of school, you have a greater chance of getting involved with drugs and alcohol.

These are just some of the many reasons why I think you need a good education. Today we learned about how many years of school you need, also the different types of education you receive different years of your life, and finally why education is so important. These are just some of the many facts about education. If you're thinking about dropping out or not going to college I am encouraging you to reconsider. Again education will help you in all aspects of your life and that's why I believe in education.
