I Believe in Music by Sidney Marker

I remember when I got my first radio. I was only 7 or 8 years old. I had an obsession with "The Backstreet Boys, N'Sync, and Britney Spears." At the time they were very popular. I would put in their CD and listen to it over and over and over again until my parents went crazy. But, because I loved them so much I didn't care what they thought and just kept doing it. Sometimes I would be in such a dancing mood and singing mood that I would put on all these clothes that I thought were cool and dance my heart out. As I grow older, so do the songs and kind of music I like. But, no matter how it changes, music will always be a part of my life. I believe in music.

Music can describe a person's personality. Such as, if a person is into the country music that could show that they are into the country scene and maybe live on a farm and enjoy dealing with those things. Or, if you listen to rock music it could show how you have a lot of energy. Whatever kind of music you listen to, it can help a person figure out a little bit about who you are just by looking through the songs on your iPod or MP3 player. I believe in music.

Music can show a person's expressions. If you're sad, you might listen to slow, sobby music. If you are mad, you might listen to some of the loudest songs on your iPod and use that to help get your frustration out. If you're happy, you might listen to some upbeat music, but not heavy metal or rock music. Music can also show different moods in a movie or play. If you are watching a dramatic movie, there might be heavier but not loud music. If you are watching a love story, you may hear love songs and songs that show happiness. Music can express anybody's feelings. I believe in music.

Music is something that we all are confronted with everyday. Some people may listen to it more than others. It may be something you just enjoy to do in your free time or it may be someone's everyday job. I like to bring my iPod to school every day because it always cheers me up and keeps me from getting so bored. Whenever I get the chance, I pull it out and listen to it. Even in the car when I'm driving around, I can't go without listening to music because otherwise it's so quiet. Music has and always will be a part of my life. I believe in music.

Music is something that is always going to change with time or may replicate older songs but is made more modern. If you ever get the chance to, take some time to listen to all the different kinds of music throughout the years and compare the things that are similar and the things that are different. Not everybody is going to like the same music. Especially, if there is a big age difference. But, no matter what happens with music in the future, I know it's going to be a part of everyone's lives every day. I believe in music.
