I Believe in Video Games by Tanner Olson
Video games are part of my every day life and I probably could not live without them. Games can help you exercise. They help me cool off after a long day at school. The can help with hand eye coordination with systems like Wii. They help you make split second decisions. I believe in video games.
Most games have been introduced that are not only made for your entertainment but help you exercise as well. Games like Wii fit and boxing. These get your heart rate up and get you moving around. There is even an exercise bike where you race computers on a track!
One of my favorite games to play is Rock Band because it is challenging and fun. It always feels great to beat the song with three of your friends and average a 90% on Hard! Games like these help you cool off after a long day at school. It is also fun to go and race online with a friend that lives a little over 1,000 miles away.
Some games help with hand eye coordination. You have to stay looking at the screen and maybe press a combination of buttons to move or play a song like on guitar hero. The Wii system was designed especially for the purpose of hand eye coordination.
Hardcore gamers have reflexive recognition. They see a situation and immediately react to it, regardless of the randomness of the situation. Games like this are usually first person shooter games where you play as if you are in the game.
Today I have shared with you three main points about video games. Some help you exercise, they can help you cool off after a long day at school, some help with hand eye coordination and they help you make split second decisions. Sometimes I wonder what kind of system is going to come out next or where video gaming is going in the future. This is why I believe in video games.
