I Believe in Computers by Donald Foreman
Back in the 1930's the first computer was built; it weighed 30 tons and was a monstrosity. The IBM PC was introduced in 1981 and was called the first PC and I still have one. The laptop was introduced in 1991 by Apple and I thought that was the coolest thing ever. Then, the IPAD came along and is now the rage. I Believe in Computers.
Computers are amazing in the fact that you can find anything you want by just pushing a button. Life is busy and sometimes you don't have time to make a phone call or write a letter, so email was the way to go. Now we have instant messaging which is even faster. It's so much easier doing homework and research papers cause you can go right to your computer instead of the library. Computers are a great way of staying connected, but human interaction is very important too.
You can do just about anything with a computer. When I'm doing homework I can also listen to music on the internet. It has so many cool websites and games. Facebook is my new obsession and you can stay in touch with anyone you want, it's not just for pictures and talking there are games you can do also. I like the fact you can watch movies and TV programs right on the computer too.
Computers have taken over life in general. Personal banking and shopping on line are just a few of the ways computers have made life easier. Most businesses have turned to computers for keeping track of sales and inventory. You can even buy and sell stock over the internet. The computer has brought entertainment, business and people together across the world.
We have gone from a few of people having computers to mostly everyone having computers. Computers are amazing because can use the internet to find maps. People can get their music from the computers. We are very dependent on computers. I believe in computers.
