I Believe in Skateboarding by Alex Luethke

Ever since the first time I jumped on a skateboard I've been trying to learn new tricks. At first I wasn't very good at the concept of riding a skateboard. I tried countless times to stay on the board and maintain my balance while riding it. After time and time again, going up and down the sidewalk on the side of my house, I eventually learned the technique. I believe in skateboarding.

Skateboarding is an art. I don't think that many people realize this but it truly does take talent to not only ride a skateboard, but also to be able to do fancy tricks on one. Not many people can jump on a skateboard and get the hang of it the first try. It takes practice to master the talent and much of the time it's not easy. You have to be dedicated in order to get good at skateboarding.

Everyone has their own individual style on riding a skateboard. Whether your goofy or regular, mongo or not, from your foot placement, the way you kick off and the way you land a trick everyone rides a skateboard differently. Some people catch onto a style by watching someone else like a friend or a pro skater. No matter what your style is, it will be unique to you.

Skateboarding like the pros. Everyone that gets into skateboarding wants it to take them somewhere. You look up to the pros and you want to be just like them. For me that person is Andrew Reynolds, a pro skater that skates for Emerica. No matter what skater you admire that's the person u idolize and want to imitate them. I know that I won't ever be a pro skater, but no matter what I will always have fun just skating with my friends.

Skateboarding has been an important thing in my life ever since I was younger. I just love going out and enjoying a day of skating with my friends. This is why I believe in skateboarding.
