I Believe in Motocross by Caleb McCartney
I believe in motocross. Motocross is fun. While I am competing in motocross it is an adrenaline in rush. I love the tight turns and the jumps. I like to do wheelies and endos. They are not a part of the competition, but when you are out riding, they are fun to do. It is such a rush of adrenaline when you are competing against other riders. It is exhilarating and overall I love it. Motocross is the best.
I believe in motocross. I like the competitions. I try to compete as often as I can. I don't really like the helmets and goggles but I know that I have to wear them for my own safety. The goggles press against your eyes and sometimes they fog up. They are hard to see out of when they are fogged up.
I believe in motocross. All of the bikes are lined up in one long line. At first we are all close together. We are all heading for the same goal - winning the race. You can't imagine the excitement that I feel when the gate is first dropped. It is such a rush when everyone leaves the starting gate at one time. The feel of laying on the thro ttle as I am leaving the starting gate is thrilling. The goal is to beat the other bikers to the first corner. If you don't, it will get jammed up and the bikes start to fall and then crashes happen. I love taking the turns and jumps. I love passing the other competitors.
I believe in motocross. I feel like I am flying when I am riding my bike. The bikes are going so fast they feel like you are floating above the ground. I feel like I am in control of my bike and I am invincible. No one can take that feeling away from me. I am powerful, until I see someone who has crashed his or her bike and I realize that I am human. I can get hurt. But it is also thrilling to know that you can crash at any time.
I believe in motocross. I have been competing in motocross for the past three years. I have come in first only one time. The feeling of excitement of winning the race was amazing. It is hard to describe in words what the exact feeling is like. I remember coming around the final turn and realizing that I just may win the race. I noticed that there was another racer coming up close beside me. I knew that it would be a close race to the finish. As we were coming to the finish line, I put all that I had left in me to cross the line in front of the other racer. When I realized that I crossed the line first, it was a feeling that I had never had before. I felt like jumping for joy. It was an awesome feeling. I had won the race! I believe in motocross.
