I Believe in Music by Amber Selby

My first recollection of music was listening to Elvis with my grandma and my great grandma. I knew right away that I was a music lover and wanted to hear more. One of the artists that I love is Jim Croce. My Dad and I listened to Bad Bad Leroy Brown and to this day I love that song. I have a good combination cause my Dad is mostly country and my Mom is mostly rock. Know I listen to all kind of music. One of my favorite artist is Joan Jett and the Run Away - who aren't together anymore and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. I believe in music.

We are influenced by what we grew up listening to. As we get older we discover new music and it defines us as individuals. Everyday activities are more pleasant when you are able to listen to music. I love the fact that there are so many different types of music that we can explore, but in the end we all have our own preferences. I'm not to interested in mainstream pop, but it is still music.

Music is a good way of letting people know how you're feeling. It is hard to talk about emotions to others, so music is a good way of expressing yourself. Music is good for reducing stress. Music can make me cry when I need to and can make me laugh when I need to. Music can bring friends and family closer and encourages talking to each other.

Music is a huge part of my life. I begin my day listening to music while getting ready for school. I keep my ipod with me at all times; when I'm walking through the halls or at lunch I listen to music. I walk home from school and that makes the walk so much better by jamming to music. I sleep with my music on all night.

Music is not just rhythm or a beat it is a way of life. It has impacted everyone's life. We are around music everyday. Music is not just guitars and drums it is also it is tapping your fingers or your feet of bird chirping. Music is history and art. It is a good way to grow and fell things you wouldn't fell without music. I believe in music.
