I Believe In Working With Wood by Aaron Codr

I believe in working with my hands. In my class at Seward high I built entertainment center, desk, broom closet, work bench, display case, messenger center, chair, two picture frames, and two closest doors. There are so many ways of working with your hands. I believe the best way to work with your hands is working with wood. I believe we all should work with our hands and build something with wood, as you have something to show for your work, there area variety of projects to create and it is fun to work in the shop.

First of all you have something to show for your work when I work with wood. As I walk into my house, I can point to all the projects into my house I have completed. For example, I have built an entertainment center, desk, broom closet, work bench, display case, messenger center, chair, two picture frames, and two closest doors. Now when my family and friends come in, they will see my wonderful work. My projects will last for years.

There are so many projects I plan to build. I would like to build kitchen cabinets, entertainment center for my room, a couple more doors for my closets. I have not made a gun cabinet, but some day I will! It is going to be a fancy gun cabinet with glass doors. I would also like to build another entertainment center someday, it will be for a 72 television. It will be very similar from the one I built for my 52 television, but a little nicer. One of my long term goals is that I would like to add to my house in the future and put a basement underneath the house. My other experience will help me with this goal.

There are so many fun things to do with working on wood. I like to make picture frames, coat hangers, computer desk, doors, and putting trim on projects. It s also nice to have friends in the shop when working. This way you can work with someone you can get along with and share advice. We have an awesome teacher in our shop at Seward High. His name is Mr. Roy Wright. He is very laid back and he knows so much about wood. There are so many more projects that I want to learn how to make. I am still learning, and I guess that is why I feel wood working is so important. That is why I believe in working with wood!
