Building Relationships With Others by Susie Fiala

I believe in the importance of building relationships with others. Whether you are six, sixteen, or sixty relationships are always being built. On so many different levels we develop a relationship, and most of the time that relationship becomes an important part of your life. As you go through the stages of life you may build a relationship with someone else in the form of a friendship, dating relationship, or a religious relationship. No matter what type of relationship; a relationship is going to help you persevere through anything.

Most people can say they have at least one friend in this world. Some may only have that one best friend who has been with you through everything. Others may have several close friends that they can tell anything. In my case I have both a best friend I have had forever and several others that have become very great friends over the years. Friends are what make life worthwhile in that when you are having a bad day you can always count on them to cheer you up. Developing a friendship with someone is vital in maintaining a happy lifestyle.

As you grow up you start to develop those little butterflies in your stomach when a boy comes up and talks to you. When you are in elementary those butterflies usually lead to a huge crush on that boy and perhaps a special Valentine's Day card but nothing more. As you go into high school, dating becomes more common and every girl fights over the most attractive man to be their prom date. Finding the man of your dreams and becoming husband and wife seems to be what every girl wants in this world. Becoming husband and wife is one of the biggest relationships you can build with someone else because you will be sharing and giving everything to each other the rest of your lives. I am definitely a big believer in true love, and believe that we all are meant to find that someone special to marry.

Developing a religious relationship is easily one of the most important relationships one can ever build. A large percent of people in my hometown believe in God and attend church services on a weekly basis. I myself am a proud Catholic and have never missed a Sunday mass my whole life. Going to church all the time teaches you that you must lead a good life to go to heaven. Most of the time children grow up in a home that goes to church every weekend, and we develop a sense of importance in doing so at an early age. As a person becomes elderly or deathly ill, often times they spend most of their days praying that they will go to heaven because they know their time is nearly up. Every single believer in this world has the wish to go to heaven once they pass away, and building that religious relationship with God is the most promising way to get there.

No matter what type of relationship; a relationship is going to help you get through anything. As you go through the stages of life you may build a relationship with someone else in the form of a friendship, dating relationship, or a religious relationship.

If it were up to me every single person in this world would have a relationship built with someone else in a special way. I truly believe in the importance of building relationships with others, and know that my relationships with others have helped me through a large amount of good and bad times in my life.
