I Believe In Football by Seth Johnson

I believe in football because it is the only sport where I excel. All the other sports I attempt, I don't really like them, so I don't try. The only reason I went out for those sports was to make my family happy. In football, this year, I learned many new things about football and learned some things about life in general at the same time.

This year in football I learned how to be a better player. I also made some new friends playing football. This year in football I learned many things about life. I learned how to be a better person. I learned how to work with people that I don't get along with off the field. It's easier to get along in football because if you don't like someone there you just hit them harder the next chance you get! I learned more responsibility, because you have to be at practice at a certain time everyday. I also learned how to keep my cool, but I kind of lost it after football was done. I need to control my temper more now that football is over!

In my senior year in football, all my hard work paid off! I finally started on varsity and that's something I have never done! It was my first real successful accomplishment and a accomplished goal I'm very proud of for my high school career. I appreciate the fact that the coaches believed in me and that made me work that much harder. During the blazing hot summers this year, just like every high school football team, we started the year off with two-a-days . I was in good shape, because over the summer I worked out. All summer I worked with a construction crew. The first week of football was not too hard for me!

This year in football I made some new friends and got closer to the ones I already had before. You usually do get closer, when you have to spend everyday with them for a couple months. Also, having friends that play in the same sports does make the sport so much better. It makes it more fun and time goes a lot faster. Making varsity this year made my football season much better. It was the best season of my life! I believe in football, as it has changed my life for the better!
