Wants by Matthew Rogge

Everyone has had a time in their life when they wake up and their perfect dream ends, you want to go back to it so much but most simply put, you cannot. It just feels so unfair that one want and you cannot have no matter how hard you try. This is truly a pain, is it not? Someone wants something and they just cannot reach it. But, this happens so often it is kind of a ritual, a person finds something they really want and then in a split second, it is gone and if he or she really wants it, they will be left on their hands and knees begging for their one chance at assumed happiness. However, dreams are not the only wants people have, there are many others.

Every person in the world has something that they want whether it is and IPod or to just have some food to survive. But, the wanting of food turns into a necessity rather quickly. These wants drive the successful societies of the world. It is truly a circle of wants. A person wants to support their family and by that, they need money. Then, some people just want to drive that vehicle they have always desired. However, certain people want something even greater than the next person does. He of she wants to make a difference in the world with a super great idea. They are what some call an extreme wanter; these are the people who give the not-so extreme people a chance at greatness and a chance at something they have always desired.

Desires are not always met; they fluctuate and change so frequently that they are never really the same. However, that is not all bad, if a person focuses on just one thing they are setting themselves up for more of a disappointment. Their mind is set on just one thing, one item, and just one obsession and if they do not obtain it, they are left with nothing. That scenario is very uncommon, no one usually has just one want that just is not human nature. We are so greedy and the bible even tells us not to covet objects, people, or even skills. Most people try to base their lives on these set standards but it is so hard that most people end up stopping their futile attempts.

Any more, a person in the United States do not have to end their struggle for their wants, most can obtain just about anything. The freedom to live freely, a made up saying, but it fits the context. The founders of America have strived to build up the economy and they have done a pretty darn good job of it, and the citizens have lived in great freedom and most have the ability to obtain many of their practical and some even impractical wants.

Wanting is a natural feeling for all humans and all things alike to undergo. Most have the ability to obtain just about anything that their heart desires. Do not let obstacles stop anyone from wanting.
