I Believe There is a Reason by Allyn Williams

Tragedy tends to knock on everyone's door step at least once in a person's life time. Sometimes people are blessed with more difficulties and hardship than others. Internal pain rips through individuals like tornados while physical pain plagues many. Death, depression, a world full of divorce and unhappy endings often leave hopelessness in our generation's minds. It is completely fair for those squashed under unjustness to pose the question, why me?

I've had my share of questioning aspects of my life. Although I have felt depression and unhappiness with my life at times, I haven't reached a point of desperation like some. I have had issues with my body (who hasn't?) one including my problem with Scoliosis (that would be a thanks to my mother's gene heritage). But something interesting I've found is that because my mom had it before me, she was able to explain what it was and how she's learned to deal with it. Her experience was so valuable and comforting.

I watch my classmates and friends go through many things while in high school. Why does this happen to me? they cry. The counsel I can give in return is that for everything there is a reason. My experiences allow me to help with an array of issues. However, my library of self help books is not full. That's where I can go to others and their experiences are indispensable to me. Through your hardship and pain you will find ways to cope with what is happening. In the midst of your suffering you will find healing potions that can be regenerated for those going through what you have. Every hurt acts as a weight training for your character. When the going gets tough, more weight is added, strengthening your ability to survive. The information received during the trials is so precious. At the time it's hard to see its worth, but it is a blessing in disguise.

I believe everything has a reason. Romans 8:28 says "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him" I believe during the storm we can trust that He is there watching out for us, guiding us when it's too difficult to see and faithfully bringing us to our destination. When we're in the green pastures and out of the valley, enlightenment on how to deal with the troubles seeps in and we will have the answers!
